Papercrane
They summarize the same orders differently, and neither shows its work. Papercrane reads the orders, carts, customers, and stock behind both with a key from your own back office, then builds live dashboards where every number traces back to order rows.

Same store, same month, three screens, three totals. It happens because each screen summarizes differently: invoice dates versus order dates, order states counted or skipped, discounts and currencies handled three ways.
One month, three numbers
Papercrane
€40,350 · March
computed from 418 order rows · valid order states only · discounts subtracted · converted at each order's recorded rate
Papercrane computes from the order rows themselves, and shows its work. Ask why two screens disagree and the agent will trace the gap to the exact orders that one of them skipped.
What did the store sell last month, valid orders only, discounts out?
Which products keep landing in carts that never become orders?
Who ordered twice or more this year, and what did they buy first?
Which products run out of stock within 30 days at the current pace?
What margin is left by category once fees come out, with PayPal or Stripe connected next to the store?
The order export you send your accountant every month, as a live dashboard she opens herself.
Answers come back as charts on a live hosted dashboard, with the order rows behind every figure.
The revenue sitting in abandoned carts
Your store already keeps every abandoned cart under Orders > Shopping carts, one cart at a time. Papercrane reads the same cart data and shows what those carts are worth, which products get left behind most, and how this month compares to last.
1. In your back office, enable the webservice under Advanced Parameters and create a key with read access on orders, customers, products, stock, and carts.
2. Paste the key and your store URL into Papercrane.
3. Ask a question. Papercrane's AI agent plans the queries and builds a hosted dashboard.
4. The dashboard stays live, and if it breaks, the error routes back to the agent to fix.
Nothing installs in your store. No module, no theme change, no override to survive your next PrestaShop upgrade. The key is read only and you can revoke it in your back office anytime.
| The job | The module route | With Papercrane |
|---|---|---|
| Sales stats you trust | A stats module built because the native ones are wrong, from €4.99/month | Computed from your order rows, traceable to orders |
| Margin and profit reports | A separate paid reports module, Addons prices run €30 into the hundreds | Ask for margin by product or category, with fee data from PayPal or Stripe joined in |
| Abandoned cart visibility | Reminder modules that email but don't analyze | What abandoned carts are worth and which products get left behind |
| Charts outside the back office | A connector subscription into Looker Studio, then you build the reports | A hosted dashboard the agent builds and maintains |
| More than one store | Metrics is not multistore compatible | Connect each store and address it by name in one conversation |
Every module is also a compatibility bet on your next upgrade. A read only key is not. And the Papercrane column is free until you publish a dashboard. See pricing
When you don't need us
If you want standard KPIs inside the back office you already open every morning, PrestaShop Metrics is free and lives there; start with it. If your goal is recovering abandoned carts, a reminder module like the ones on Addons actually sends the emails; we show you what the carts are worth, we never email your customers. And Papercrane reads your store through the webservice, which carries no visitor traffic, so questions about visits and conversion rates need Google Analytics connected next to the store. Papercrane earns its place when the answer has to be trusted, spans the store and the money tools, or needs to live on a dashboard your team or your accountant can watch.
Most PrestaShop stores connect PayPal or Stripe next, so fees and payout timing sit beside the orders. Gorgias joins if support runs through it.
Create a read only key in your back office, connect the store, and ask what it really sold last month.
